Bio/Music Description:

New Orleans-based vocalist, arranger, and bandleader Anna Laura Quinn brings sincerity, humor, and an immutable grace to her music, moving with ease and fluidity between highly personalized arrangements of gems from the American Songbook, songs in French and Portuguese (she is fluent in both), and surprising interpretations of popular music from the 1960s to the present. Since making the Crescent City her home in 2010, and subsequently receiving her master’s in Jazz Studies at University of New Orleans, Anna has appeared at such venerable venues as Snug Harbor, the Marigny Opera House, and, in 2024, at French Quarter Fest. She also tours regularly, including club engagements in New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California. She is will be on tour in New England for the first time in July/August 2025. Her two albums–I Feel the Sudden Urge to Sing (2018) and Open the Door (Next Level/Outside In Music, 2022)–reflect her expansive palette of influences. A third record—a collaboration with New Orleans guitarist Ed Barrett, playfully titled Just… Quinn & Barrett—features tunes by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Dr. John, Tears for Fears, Billy Strayhorn, Queen, and Bobby Charles, and will be released in July 2025.

Here is the video for the centerpiece single from my album that is coming out in July, my arrangement of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" that came out a month ago: https://youtu.be/Qy-FrzxGR2M?si=m85mlnOITJdAZHhl
