August 03, 2025 03:00 PM until August 03, 2025 06:00 PM

Live music is back on stage at The Mad Monkfish! For those who can't make it to the Jazz Baroness Room, Monkfish now streams live all of its performances on their Facebook page

The Jazz Vocal Jam Session takes place the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month from 3pm-6pm. A featured vocalist will start each session before inviting other vocalists to join the house band. There will be a physical sign-up sheet which will be first come, first serve.

We appreciate if you purchase something to help the restaurant out for bringing all of this great jazz to us!

This week the featured singer will be Savhanna Larivee.

Savhanna Larivee is a singer-songwriter with a deep love for storytelling through music. Currently in her third year at Berklee College of Music, she’s developing her artistry through songwriting, live performance, and collaboration. With voice as her primary instrument and guitar as her trusted companion, Savhanna creates intimate, heartfelt music that blends elements of jazz, soul, and contemporary styles.

Her sound is shaped by a rich mix of influences—from the timeless phrasing of Ella Fitzgerald and the soulful brilliance of Stevie Wonder, to the modern elegance and subtle charm of Laufey. These voices echo through her performances, where she brings both technical skill and emotional vulnerability to every song.

Savhanna has performed throughout Boston and the surrounding area, appearing at local cafes, restaurants, and collaborative music spaces. She’s equally comfortable performing solo acoustic sets or blending her voice within larger ensembles and choirs. No matter the setting, she aims to create moments of connection—music that makes people feel seen, heard, or simply at peace for a little while.

Rooted in tradition but always reaching for something new, Savhanna is an artist in motion—growing, experimenting, and learning with every note.
