8/23 Calvin Limuel Late Night Jam Session

Live music is back on stage at The Mad Monkfish! For those who can't make it to the Jazz Baroness Room, Monkfish now streams live all of its performances on their Facebook page. House band plays a set and then invites guests to sit in on this late-night instrumentals jam.

Calvin Limuel, piano

Calvin Limuel is a musician, composer, producer, and educator based in Boston. A multi-instrumentalist and graduate of Berklee College of Music (BM ’16), he is primarily a piano player, but he also regularly performs on various instruments on various occasions. Under teachers like Kevin Harris, Jason Palmer, Dennis Montgomery III, and the late Ralph Peterson, Jr.,   his striving for innovation in contemporary sound is connected and rooted in the musical traditions that have come before. Mainly a Jazz musician, but his works and musical experiences run along the lines of Gospel, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin American, and more. He has been a regular jam session host at the historic Wally's Café, one of the oldest Jazz clubs in Boston, and The Bebop, and keeps himself busy performing and recording with different projects, bands, and companies. He is currently a teaching artist at Boston Music Project.
