Tyler’s NEW! Quintet explores the intersections between free improvisation, Appalachian old-time music, and straight-ahead jazz. Presenting a mix of original and traditional music, the chordless quintet puts on a creative, one-of-a-kind show that never fails to surprise and intrigue.

BIO:
Tyler White is a baritone saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and improvisor based in Boston, MA. His music blends influences from traditional jazz, free improvisation, and Appalachian old-time music. He has studied with George Garzone, Tony Malaby, Derrick Michaels, Ayn Inserto, Greg Hopkins, Rhys Jones, and more. Since completing his undergraduate studies at Berklee College of Music, he plans to pursue a career in performance and composition between NYC and his hometown of Baltimore.
