Saxophonist Jim Pisano reunites with jazz greats + special guest Fred Haas in a night of masterful grooves & timeless connection.
Saxophonist Jim Pisano reunites with longtime bandmates Mark Shilansky (piano), Joshua Davis (bass), and Les Harris, Jr. (drums), in conversation with local sax legend Fred Haas. Pisano is Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies at Wichita State University and has performed nationally with his own groups and with artists such as Brian Lynch, Terrell Stafford, James Moody, and the Dizzy Gillespie Reunion Big Band. Fred Haas has been an important presence on the New England Jazz Scene for decades, as a professor at Dartmouth College, founder of Interplay Jazz Camp, a teacher of countless musicians (including Pisano, Davis, and Shilansky), and a lauded performer and recording artist under his own name and with artists such as The Ritz, Rebecca Parris, Paul Broadnax, Clark Terry, and Oscar Peterson.
