Grammy-nominated pianist Kenny Werner joins forces with Cuban drum master Francisco Mela, Boston bass legend John Lockwood, and rising star Mikayla Shirley for a night of deep groove, fearless improvisation, and soulful vocals you won’t forget.

BIO:

Kenny Werner, born November 19, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, is an acclaimed jazz pianist, composer, and educator.He is renowned for his book Effortless Mastery: Liberating the Master Musician Within, which offers insights into achieving musical freedom and overcoming performance anxiety. Werner's philosophy emphasizes mindfulness and the spiritual aspects of music, encouraging musicians to connect deeply with their creativity.

Francisco Mela is a Cuban-born drummer known for his dynamic style and contributions to the jazz scene. John Lockwood, a seasoned bassist, has been a mainstay in the Boston jazz community, collaborating with numerous artists over the years. Mikayla Shirley, a talented vocalist, brings a fresh and emotive voice to the ensemble.
