Anouk Joon is a French vocalist, composer, arranger, and bandleader from Paris. Currently based in Boston, she is studying jazz vocal performance at the New England Conservatory. With a background in classical piano from the Conservatory in Paris, Anouk draws on her classical training to inform her approach to composition and harmony, while her distinctive vocal style bridges the jazz tradition and her passion for modern music.

Anouk has performed in a wide range of venues, from intimate jazz clubs to major concert halls. She has presented sold-out shows of her original music at Sunside Jazz Club and Les Disquaires in Paris, as well as at La Boule Noire in June 2025. She has also appeared at the Philharmonie de Paris alongside Jason Moran in a tribute to Duke Ellington, and at the Grand Rex in Paris for a concert honoring film composer Vladimir Cosma.

Her versatility extends beyond jazz stages: she has performed at the Four Seasons Boston for a high-profile gala and sang during the 2024 Paris Olympics at prestigious venues including L’Intercontinental, Café de la Paix, and the Royal Monceau on the Champs-Élysées. In 2025, she performed at both the Panama Jazz Festival and the Arlington Jazz Festival. In Boston, she sings regularly in duo settings and performs twice a month at the Hobgoblin.

Anouk is currently focused on composing and reimagining jazz standards. She is working on her debut album of original music, which explores the transformation of her identity since moving to the United States at age 18.

She has studied with renowned artists such as Jason Moran, Ran Blake, Cecil McBee, Jason Palmer, and Dominique Eade. A two-time full scholarship recipient to Berklee College of Music’s Five-Week Performance Program, she also participated in the Jazz and Gender Justice Workshop led by Terri Lyne Carrington. In 2025, Anouk was selected for the prestigious Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead program at the Kennedy Center, where she was mentored by Nate Smith, Jason Moran, Carmen Lundy, Marc Cary, Mimi Jones and Jimmy Greene.
